RUDY LINKA
Prague-born Rudy Linka has studied classical guitar at the Prague Conservatory as well as composition at the Stockholm Music Institute. A US resident since 1985, he came to Boston's Berklee School of Music for a Jim Hall Fellowship, followed by further studies at the New School and with Jim Hall and John Abercrombie. Linka performed at many international festivals and jazz clubs and recorded his own music with John Abercrombie, Bob Mintzer, Gil Goldstein, Michael Formanek, and others. His ENJA debut in 1994, "Czech It Out," was well reviewed in the US and received a five-star-rating as CD of the month in German magazine Audio.
